Abducted wife of Ijaw leader released

Chief Favour Izuokumor’s wife, who was kidnapped last Sunday while returning from a church service on Airport Road, Effurun, Delta State, has been released.

Sources close to Izuokumor, the spokesperson of Ogbe-Ijoh, Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State, said that the woman was released unharmed at about 9pm at Eboh area of Warri.

The source added that although an undisclosed amount of money was paid as ransom, at the Oghara axis of the Warri-Benin Expressway, the woman was dropped off at the Eboh Road area of Warri from where she went home.
